Yoga Spiders

Supplies
  • 1 Cotton ball (or 1 small pompom)
  • 4 pipe cleaners
  • 2 to 4 pre-glued googly eyes (or 1/8" round stickers to use as eyes)
  • Kid-safe glue (if using googly eyes that aren't sticky

  • Scissors (for cutting fabric or burlap roll) - precut piece fine for those that don't want to deal with cutting.

  2. Place this at the center of another pipe cleaner, wrap it once around then twist ends a few times to secure.
  3. Repeat with third and fourth pipe cleaners.
  4. Bend pipe cleaners like jointed spider legs.
  5. Glue a few (or more) googly eyes to the ball.
  6. Cut a swatch of fabric or burlap.
  7. Push the pointed ends of the spider's feet (ends of the pipe cleaners) through the fabric and bend slightly to secure it on the mat.
  8. Experiment with how many "feet" the spider needs to stand, and how you can configure it's "arms" and "legs" to make yoga poses.
